    You check our team and what’s happening behind the scenes at Sportsvite by visiting our About Us page.
  2. How can I contact you with questions, bugs, support requests, etc?
    There are a few ways to get in touch with us! You have a comment on a specific post or feature on this blog or you can use our feedback form.
  3. Why should I use Sportsvite?
    Sportsvite isn’t just another social network. It’s a website for people who play sports. All of our features are specifically designed for sports activities and every member of the Sportsvite community is an athlete. Simply put, we can help you make your sports life easier.
  4. What browsers does Sportsvite support?
    Sportsvite is fully tested and approved for all modern browsers including Firefox 2+, Safari 2+, and Internet Explorer 7+. We do our best to provide baseline support for Internet Explorer 6 users, but if you are still browsing via IE6 we strongly encourage you to upgrade your browser to either Firefox or Internet Explorer 8. We will slowly dwindle our support for older browsers, and more importantly you’ll enjoy a much safer and faster browsing experience across the entire web, not just on Sportsvite.

My Account

  1. How do I sign up for Sportsvite?
    That’s an easy one. Just click here and we’ll have you up and running in just a few second.
  2. How much does it cost?
    Everything on Sportsvite is, and always will be, 100% free. That’s just how we roll.
  3. What is my region and can I change it later?
    Sportsvite is a regional site, just like Craigslist, Yelp, and a host of others. Your region is simply the area you’re choosing to use the site. You pick a home region when you sign u, which is your default area, but you can always view other regions by using the region tool at the top of each page. If you want, you can read more about how regions work.
  4. How do I edit my profile?
    Click the home tab, and you will return to your Clipboard, which is your personal homepage on Sportsvite. From here, you’ll find links in the left sidebar for My Profile. Click that, and your sidebar will now include links for editing your profile information.
  5. How do I change my Sportsvite.com URL?
    Unfortunately, you can’t. So choose wisely when you sign up. However, if you make a mistake or simply have to change your URL, send us a message and we’ll see if we can help you out.
  6. How do I change my email settings?
    Click the home tab, and in your left sidebar you’ll find a link for Account Settings. Click the small arrow next to that link, and you’ll see an option for Email Preferences, which is where you can control all of the messages that you would like to receive or not receive. Keep in mind, all messages will still be delivered to your Sportsvite inbox. These controls simply allow you to stop receiving emails to your associated email account.
  7. I forgot my login information. Can you send it to me?
    Sure. Send us a message with your full name and the email address you used when you signed up.
  8. How can I delete my account?
    Click the home tab, and from the left sidebar choose Account Settings. At the bottom of the screen you will see an option to deactivate your account.

Friends and Players List

  1. What is my Friends list?
    Your Friends list includes your friends who’ve joined Sportsvite, or players you’ve met by using Sportsvite. This list comes in handy when you want to start a pickup game or create a team, as you can choose players from this list to invite without worrying about finding email addresses. You will also see notes in your activity feed when these players join new teams or events, upload photos, or make new connections of their own.
  2. How do I invite my friends and teammates to join Sportsvite?
    You can invite your friends to join Sportsvite here. We have tools for you to invite by individual email addresses, or import your contacts from Gmail, Yahoo, MSN, or AOL.
  3. How do I find out if my friends are already on Sportsvite?
    Simple… visit the invite friends page. When you import your contacts from any of the supported email services (Gmail, Yahoo, MSN, or AOL), we’ll show you which of your friends are already on Sportsvite and let you add them to your player list with one click.
  4. What if my invite email are going to SPAM folders?
    It’s possible that your friends and teammates are receiving the invitation emails, but they are being filtered into their SPAM folders. To help prevent this, your friends and teammates should add the sportsvite admin email address (admin@sportsvite.com) into their email address book. This will indicate to their mail system that the sending account is OK and that this message is not SPAM.
